Updates Galore

In Singapore, the paranoia for swine flu is enormous. Even a cough or sneeze on the bus will garner about a thousand stares and like, people will inch away from you. (More like mile away from you!)

Like, for example, I was sitting at this little bus stop minding my own business when I needed to perform my trademark sneeze (you all should know by now!) and after cleaning myself up with a tissue, this girl who was supposedly seated beside me had shifted her butt like, 50 inches away from me. (I don't do measurements)

And the rest of them were gazing at me as if I was some latest science specimen!

It gets worse in the hospitals though. They scan your IC and all, hand you a face mask then direct you through some room where they are able to gauge your temperature without even touching you. And if you happen to sneeze, cough or even wipe your nose in there, well, it's good luck to you!

And Ginny! Does it bother you that you belong to neither the uptowners or downtowners? What's the difference between the two anyway? I get what you mean about the whole 'Husky moving furniture' thing though.

Army is crazy. There's all kidns of people you gotta greet and stuff. I absolutely abhor the fact that there's some stupid higher authority that makes it seem like they're God governing over you.

I mean, if they're my boss, it's fine. But the kind of pressure they place on us is ridiculous. For example, if we were to disappear without any reason, (without a valid MC or otherwise) they'd go absolutely insane and begin some island-wide search or something.

I can't wait to escape and study again. Or at least, do something I enjoy.

Paus! Why can't you travel anymore? And are you in Singapore or still trapped in Indonesia? 'Cause you said you'd look for a place in Singapore when you come back but you said you can't travel anymore so I'm mega confused. Haha!

As for Mantou! Can I like visit you and get free chocolates, cakes or something? And yes! How're you with Aisnley, eh?

Okay, I better head to bed. 'Night!

Work was okay... You know work... What excitement you can get? Haha! No more travelling for me ald. Sadded! Other than that it was okay... Haha!

So yeah... ^^

xoxo

Actually I really shouldn't be posting

Because I take 1 hour to get ready, and it takes 2 hours to travel to school, and I'm already 15 minutes late!

It's great that you guys posted!! I really enjoyed reading it!! :D

Anyway. Apart from the swine flu hysteria in the America, life here is pretty fun.

But you know it's weird at the same time, as my housemate says it, the Caucasians here have 'silent money'. So when I see flashy cars, it's pretty weird that most of the drivers are Asians. Even in my school, the Chinese would wear Gucci or Coach shoes to school (I'm still accepting donation for money!) and the Caucasians would wear trackpants and running shoes. It's a new cultural experience for me, because certainly watching Gossip Girls doesn't help me to understand the culture here! Oh but there is people like Gossip Girls, the teenagers. Although they don't really hang out in trendy places. There are mainly two crowds: the downtowners and the uptowners.

Ah anyway, I belong to neither.

Two days ago Husky went back to Singapore. It's too long to explain why. It's not really a good thing (which you all must remind your kids also!) having been with him this whole while, I'm getting used to his presence. Yesterday I want to go out because it was a sunny Sunday. But I don't know where to go (being in the new place) and I thought of buying furniture for my place, but normally he would help me carrying the stuffs so it was weird and unpleasant at the same time. I guess when he came here and I'm back in Sg, things were settled for me and I know I'll be seeing him again. Nowadays, the pang is sharper because it's all new to me and I don't know when I'll be seeing him again.

Ah mun, how are you with bf?

Guys I miss you all a lot!!! It's a sad thing that we didn't have any farewell but I think it's for the better. Because farewell parties actually suck. IMO OC. Hehe...

Paus, how's work and everything? Mondie, how are you coping with the army? Joe, is it the one at Katong?? I LOVE THE CAKE!

Okay I REALLY have to shower now. Love you guys XOXO

Missing Them

Man.

Sometimes in between doing crappy stuff in camp, I think about how you guys are doing too. Hahahaha. Makes you wonder what the relevance between my work and you guys have, eh?

This blog (and the two others) reminds me of the good old days we had back in TMC. After graduating, well, it kinda makes me realise how much fun I had studying, coming to school everyday (not forgetting WHENEVER we wanted!) and just munching on food throughout lessons.

But anyway! After my army stuff, I'm gonna apply for a degree. Somewhere. I'll only decide like, 10 months before I ORD. Otherwise all my information might be outdated.

What about the rest of 'ya?

Dreamsss

I wonder if you remember the dreams you had. I mean, now that we're graduated from our school and stuff.

I know that Koko is working now. And Mondok is in the army. Jo is working now... But what's next?

I still have three years to go. What about you guys?
